Since 2011, within the Research Center of ENGIE Julie’s been working in close partnership with start-ups to develop of innovative solutions based on nano/micro-sensors, bringing the technologies from TRL3 (proof-of-concept validation) to TRL8 (commercial product) mostly in the gas analysis field (natural gas, biogas, air pollution). She also contributes in prototyping new service offerings based on IoT devices and nano/micro sensors for thermal comfort and Air Quality. Her team Nano, IoT & Sensors aims to produce & transmit field data at low cost for all the Business Units of ENGIE. They work on RFIDs, physical nano/micro-sensors (flow, temperature, pressure sensors), chemical nano/micro sensors (natural gas, biogas, air pollution), energy harvesters to power sensors (e.g. gas fuel cells) and LPWA networks.
