Ricardo Gomez-Ulmke is Vice President (IoT) at Solace and responsible for defining Solace’s IoT strategy.
He works closely with customers and partners, helping to shape the vision of their IoT initiatives straddling strategy and technology.
With 20+ years’ experience as a business technology professional Ricardo has worked across many industries and technology cycles,
always pushing the boundaries of traditional thinking to create lasting competitive advantage.
Projects in the Telecoms sector included agile systems to deliver triple/quad play services and creating a global data sharing platform before API management became a buzzword.
Monitoring network services in real-time created the foundation of industrial-grade streaming analytics engines.
For the last 5 years, Ricardo has been applying his passion for real-time, event-driven systems to the Internet-of-Things, in use cases such as Connected Vehicle, IoT-as-a-Service, Industrial IoT and many more.
He also cut his teeth in the start-up scene, co-founding an eCommerce marketplace and advising a Commerce start-up on strategy and fund-raising.
Ricardo has a master’s in engineering and an MBA from Imperial College London and lives with his family in London.
