Sidney Stokkers (28) is currently active as an aircraft engineer in the department of big data, analytics and reliability engineering at KLM Engineering & Maintenance. Using his background in aerospace engineering and operations consultancy, he contributes to the development of Big Data applications and Data Science activities at KLM E&M in the role of Product Owner of Prognos for Aircraft application. Prognos for Aircraft is the tool developed by Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance that allows implementation of predictive maintenance practices in the operation of Air France and KLM, thereby optimizing maintenance decision making, reduction of operational disturbances and prevention of high repair cost. With his previous experience as operations consultant, he combines the areas of business process improvement, IT and engineering to allow successful development of predictive maintenance on new generation of aircraft.
