About SIMalliance:
SIMalliance is the global, non-profit industry association which simplifies aspects of hardware-based device security to drive the creation, deployment and management of secure mobile services. The organisation promotes the essential role of a dedicated tamper resistant hardware module in delivering secure mobile applications and services across all devices that can access wireless networks. By identifying and addressing related technical issues, and clarifying and recommending existing technical standards relevant to the implementation of hardware security, the SIMalliance aims to facilitate and accelerate delivery of secure mobile applications globally.
About the speaker:
Steffen Frenck joined the SIMalliance Board in 2015, and also holds the position of Director Strategy, Telecommunication Industries, at Giesecke & Devrient
Steffen is responsible for the Global Strategy of the Division Telecommunication Industries of Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) and has been in this position since July 2014.
Prior to this, as Vice President Sales the Marketing & Sales, he managed activities for SIM cards, Server Software and Managed Services to Mobile Network Operators across Europe. Steffen has been with G&D since 2011.
Before joining G&D, from 2007 to 2010, Steffen was responsible for the Business Strategy and Planning of the Radio Access Sales Division within Nokia Siemens Networks. In this role he put special focus on the establishment of a comprehensive value-based product feature definition and go-to-market approach.
Between 1996 and 2006 he held various global leadership positions within the Divisions Communications and Mobile Networks of the SIEMENS AG.
Steffen received a Dipl.-Kfm. (Univ.) degree from the LMU München in 1996.
